HETMAN means 'leader' in Ukrainian. The Hetmans were the leaders of the tough cast of Ukrainian Cossacks, who opposed to the colonisation of Ukraine by the poles during the 14th century. Their actions of bravery have marked their times and today Ukrainians have a deep and genuine respect for these noble men. It is no wonder that they have chosen to give their finest drink the title of their leaders.
